University of Nebraska faculty across all campuses and disciplines are invited to submit proposals for the Applied Analytics and Data Infrastructure (AADI) Catalyst Program — an initiative to support the rigor of high-quality field-based human subjects research. Program Details
Purpose
The Applied Analytics and Data Infrastructure (AADI) Catalyst Program was developed to meet the significant need for the MAP Academy’s highly specialized supports among interdisciplinary faculty conducting human subjects research across the University of Nebraska system. This funding opportunity supports rigorous, high-quality research, while also serving as a catalyst for new collaborations. Proposals designed to strengthen teams’ competitiveness for future large-scale funding are especially encouraged.

Eligibility
Proposals must be submitted by full-time faculty in the University of Nebraska system (any campus) who are engaged in field-based human subjects research and eligible for federal funding. This opportunity is open to all disciplines and departments.
Awards
The maximum award request is $5,000.

Application Process
Proposals must be submitted electronically using the form linked below. Please allow three to four weeks for proposals to be reviewed and investigator notification. We recommend preparing responses in advance using a word processing program, then copying into the online proposal submission form.

- The priority deadline to submit proposals is October 17, 2025.
- Submissions received after this date will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
- Review phases:
- Phase 1: Selection of projects will take place in October 2025.
- Phase 2: Meetings will be held in October-November to discuss project details and assess fit with the program.
- Final selection of the awards will be determined, and applicants will be notified by Nov. 15.

The MAP Academy, housed within the Nebraska Center for Research on Children, Youth, Families and Schools (CYFS), promotes the advancement of methodologies, applied analytics and data infrastructure to support and enhance rigorous research within the social, behavioral, health and educational sciences. We emphasize research that is hands-on and meaningful in the real world.
