About Us
MAP Academy, housed within the Nebraska Center for Research on Children, Youth, Families and Schools, emphasizes hands-on research in real-world settings, and supports rigorous measurement and evaluation methods associated with generating meaningful data and translating knowledge.
MAP Academy faculty and staff collaborate with scholars during all phases of their work — providing highly specialized research supports to maximize positive impacts on children, youth, families, schools and communities.
Our team provides support across many content areas and can meet a wide range of project needs. We specialize in applied analytics and statistical approaches for experimental, quasi-experimental, correlational and mixed method designs. We are also experts in open science best practices that support study pre-registration, data transparency and reproducibility, data sharing and registered reports.
To build capacity among the next generation of researchers, we host events and workshops featuring experts in research, measurement and evaluation methods and analytic techniques.

Our mission is to promote the advancement of methodologies, applied analytics and data infrastructure to support and enhance rigorous research within the social, behavioral, health and educational sciences.

Our Goals
Provide high-quality methodological support and collaboration to enhance the rigor of field-based human subjects research.
